August 24，The School of Electrical Engineering held the second summer work retreat of 2022 in Conference Room 524 of the Electric Power Building，Focus on the topic of improving the quality of undergraduate education。Party Secretary Yin Lumin presided over the meeting，Dean Ding Lei、Members of the college leadership team and representatives of some undergraduate teachers attended the meeting。

The theme of this retreat is "Emancipate the Mind，Seize the day”，Systematic discussion on how to comprehensively improve the quality of undergraduate training。Vice Dean in charge of undergraduate teaching Zhao Haoran gives a report on undergraduate teaching reform。Report changed from "Why"、What to change、How to change” three aspects elaborated on the purpose of undergraduate teaching reform、Core concepts and other issues，And from College Policy、Propose suggestions on teaching reform from the aspects of working mechanism and other aspects。The report also proposed the "Key Teaching Reform Plan of the School of Electrical Engineering"、“Establishing grassroots teaching organizations”、"Reform the existing teaching assistant system"、Specific measures such as “pilot mechanism for undergraduate students to enter teams (laboratories)”。

On issues in improving the quality of undergraduate education，Members of each participating team and teacher representatives discussed their feelings one by one，And learn from how to strengthen the ideological and political construction of the curriculum、How to comprehensively improve students’ innovation ability、How to further improve teachers’ teaching abilities、How to cultivate students’ logical thinking in solving engineering problems、How to enhance teachers’ sense of mission and responsibility、Proposed many suggestions on how to strengthen effective communication between students and teachers，Brainstorming ideas to improve the quality of college undergraduate training。

Ding Lei talked about the key points and difficulties of the college’s undergraduate teaching reform from the aspects of curriculum reform and process management。He pointed out，Be sure to find the right entry point，Promote educational reform scientifically and objectively from a point-to-point perspective。The biggest problem facing current course quality improvement is how to achieve the set goals quickly in a short period of time。He proposed "introduction、Digestion、Three steps of absorption，Emphasize that the School of Electrical Engineering must give full play to its disciplinary characteristics，Continuously expand ideas and horizons，In the process of achieving the goal of building a national-level quality course，Comprehensively combine the improvement of teaching level with the improvement of young teachers’ comprehensive abilities。
