The School of Electrical Engineering held the 27th (total 1237th) "Jixiafeng" graduate academic forum

May 29,By Graduate School of Shandong University、Sponsored by the Postgraduate Affairs Department of the Party Committee,The 27th (total 1237th) "Jixiafeng" postgraduate academic forum hosted by the School of Electrical Engineering was held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of the Electric Power Building on Qianfoshan Campus。This forum invites Professor Eric Semail and Associate Professor Ngac-Ky Nguyen from the Electrical Engineering Laboratory in Lille, France to give lectures,The forum is hosted by Zhang Wenjing。

First,Professor Eric Semail gave a lecture titled "Integrated Multiphase Drive and reliabilities, a WBG fault tolerant topology: Opportunities and Challenges for aerospace》report。His challenges surrounding aerospace motors、Expand several parts including integrated multi-phase driver based on WBG and new topology structure of integrated multi-phase driver。He pointed out: A major challenge for aerospace motors is maintaining high reliability while,Achieve high power density and high torque density (kW/kg, Nm/kg)。High switching frequency voltage source inverter (VSI) using wide-band components (WBG) can reduce the size of the DC bus capacitor。But,Due to the very short commutation time(<50ns),Very high requirements on the connection between the voltage source inverter and the motor end。Therefore,For higher reliability,Integrating an inverter inside the motor is a very effective way,This alleviates the fault tolerance shortcomings of polyphase motors caused by excessive external cables。Also,Use WBG component,The temperature limit of the inverter can be higher than 150℃,Close to motor temperature limit,Conducive to common cooling,Thus reducing the overall weight of the drive system。

Continue,Associate Professor Ngac-Ky Nguyen gave a report titled "Torque Ripple Eliminations for Multiphase Non-sinusoidal Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines"。His research background around polyphase motors、Modeling of polyphase motor drives、The four aspects of the influence of non-sinusoidal back electromotive force harmonics and multi-phase motor torque pulsation suppression are introduced in detail。He talked about,Compared with sinusoidal back electromotive force motor,Non-sinusoidal back-EMF motors have higher torque density and lower cost。However,The existence of multiple harmonics will cause torque fluctuations,Reducing the torque quality of the electric drive system。Professor Ngac-Ky Nguyen proposed a control scheme that combines classic magnetic field oriented control with artificial intelligence,Suppresses the torque ripple of multi-phase non-sinusoidal permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)。This technology has a small computational burden,Easy to implement in industrial drives。

About the speaker:

Eric Semail, Professor、Ph.D. Supervisor,Graduated from École Normale Supérieure, Kashan Campus, France in 1986,Graduated from the University of Lille, France in 2000,Received a doctorate degree,The paper is titled "Tools and Research Methods for Polyphase Electric Drive Systems—Promotion of Space Vector Theory"。He became an associate professor at École Nationale Supérieure d’Etudes et Métiers d’Art in 2001,and became a full professor in 2010。At the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering (L2EP) in Lille, France,His research areas include the design of multiphase electrical drives、Modeling and Control。

Ngac Ky Nguyen,副Professor,Received a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Alsace, France in 2010。Since September 2012,He has been working as an associate professor at the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics at the Université Nationale Supérieure d'Etudes et Métiers d'Etudes Engineering。His research interests include modeling and control of synchronous machines、Power converters and fault-tolerant drivers。He has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific papers and 5 books。
