The founding meeting of the IEEE PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China) was successfully held

October 22, 2021,IEEE PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China) (English: IEEE Power & Energy Society Power System Dynamic Performance Satellite Committee - China) founding meeting and unveiling ceremony were successfully held at the Beijing Convention Center,The meeting will be broadcast live via the Internet at the same time。From universities across the country、Scientific Research Institute、Power Grid Company、Power Generation Group、Nearly 200 experts and scholars from power equipment companies and other units attended this meeting offline。

IEEE PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China) was established under the leadership of Shandong University,Professor Liu Yutian is the first chairman,Professor Ye Hua is the Secretary-General of the Technical Committee,The secretariat is located in the School of Electrical Engineering, Shandong University。Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences、Zhou Xiaoxin, foreign academician of the National Academy of Engineering,Xue Yusheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and many other experts awarded the establishment of the technical committee,Professor Ye Hua received the license as the committee representative。

           

At the meeting,Honorary Chairman of IEEE PES China,National Distinguished Expert Professor Bo Zhiqian and Professor Sun Huadong, Vice President of China Electric Power Research Institute, delivered speeches respectively,Congratulations on the successful completion of preparations and formal establishment of the technical committee。Subsequently, IEEE Professor Liu Yutian, the first chairman of PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China) delivers a speech。

Chairman Liu Yutian first thanked IEEE PES China Technical Committee provided comprehensive guidance and strong support to the Technical Committee in the preparation process,And the hard work and hard work of everyone on the technical committee。He pointed out that when “carbon peaks”、Power system dynamic technology in modeling and simulation in the process of "carbon neutrality" and "building a new power system with new energy as the main body"、Computational analysis、Stability theory、Safe and stable、Severe challenges faced by the defense system and many other aspects。He said,In IEEE The establishment of the PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China) serves as an opportunity,The committee will serve as an academic group connecting experts and scholars in the field of power system dynamics,Make full use of bridges、The role of ties and platforms,Incorporate expert wisdom,Grasp the trend of energy transformation,Mutual resources between industry and academia,Promoting the transformation and development of my country’s power energy field!

                                                              

       

Subsequently, IEEE Professor Ye Hua, Secretary General of the PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China), announced the announcement of the IEEE PES Power System Dynamics Technical Committee (China)Organizational structure of sub-technical committees。The first chairman of the committee is Professor Liu Yutian from the School of Electrical Engineering of Shandong University,There are 5 first vice-chairmen,Professor Wang Haifeng respectively、Professor Du Zhengchun、Professor Yuan Xiaoming、Professor Shen Chen、Director Guo Qiang。

Continue,Chairman Liu Yutian awarded licenses to 7 technical subcommittees,They are: Power Electronics Power System Modeling and Characteristics Analysis Sub-Technical Committee、Power Grid Security Defense Simulation Sub-Technical Committee、Power System Digital Twins Sub-Technical Committee、AC/DC Hybrid Power Grid Security and Stability Analysis Sub-Technical Committee、Power System Network Source Coordination Sub-Technical Committee、Power System Restoration Sub-Technical Committee,and Dynamic Power System Artificial Intelligence Application Sub-Technical Committee。

      

      

                                                              

      

The conference specially invited nationally appointed experts from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology、Professor Yuan Xiaoming, Chief Scientist of 973,Permanent Professor of Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University、Professor Mei Shengwei, Vice President of Qinghai University,Deputy Chief Engineer of China Electric Power Research Institute and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of New Energy Research Center、Director Wang Weisheng, professor-level senior engineer,Director of the Electric Power System Research Institute of China Electric Power Research Institute、Professor Guo Qiang, Director of the State Grid Simulation Center, delivered keynote reports,Wonderful sharing resonated with colleagues,Received high praise from industry experts!

Professor Yuan Xiaoming brought the first report to the conference,The title is "System Amplitude and Frequency Stability Problems and Amplitude and Frequency Modulation Methods for System Analysis"。First,The report points out that amplitude and frequency stability are the basic goals of power system operation,And take synchronous generators and power electronic grid-connected equipment as examples to illustrate that different transmission characteristics determine different requirements for the amplitude and frequency support capabilities of the equipment。Then by analyzing the formation mechanism and time-varying nature of the internal potential amplitude and frequency,Point out that conventional dynamic analysis methods based on phasor method and impedance method are no longer suitable for power electronic power systems。final,The report states that continuous fractional amplitude frequency modulation is the unified essence of the evolution of alternating signals,The continuous amplitude frequency modulation method is the conclusion of the general method of system dynamic analysis at equilibrium points and non-equilibrium points。

       

Professor Chen Laijun gave a report titled "Dual Carbon Targets and New Energy Power Systems" on behalf of Professor Mei Shengwei's research group from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University。First,Professor Chen reviewed the origins of carbon neutrality and the energy revolution,Explains the requirements for power system development in the context of dual carbon,And the two major challenges faced by new energy development - power fluctuations causing difficulty in regulation and weak inertia causing difficulty in stabilization。Then,Professor Chen pointed out that effective measures to deal with the above two major challenges are new energy power system intelligent control technology and energy storage technology supporting new energy power system,And introduce it in detail。final,Professor Chen pointed out that intelligent control technology and energy storage technology are the key to ensuring the safety of new power systems、Economy、Important support for environmentally friendly operation。

         

Professor-level senior engineer Wang Weisheng in the report "Research and Application of Dynamic Characteristics Simulation and Control of New Energy Bases",First introduced the development status of new energy in my country,And respectively from resources、Summary of the characteristics of new energy in terms of equipment。Then we will introduce the digital-analog hybrid real-time simulation platform for new energy power generation that has been put into use and its test results。Finally, the important role of impedance reshaping technology in oscillation suppression of new energy power generation was demonstrated through practical engineering。Towards the end of the report,Director Wang also summarized the difficulties and challenges existing in the process of building a new power system with new energy as the main body,Shared some of his thoughts on the future development prospects of new power systems。

           

Professor Guo Qiang, Director of the Electric Power System Research Institute of China Electric Power Research Institute, gave a report entitled "New Power System Network Source Coordination Technology"。First,Comparison with the network source coordination problem of traditional power systems,Report points out that new power systems not only exacerbate traditional stability problems,Also caused new stability issues。Then,Director Guo shared the simulation and actual measurement modeling technology of China Electric Power Research Institute in new power systems,Large power grid network source coordination analysis technology,The latest research progress in three aspects including large power grid network source coordination control technology,And prospects for network source coordination technology。
