The School of Electrical Engineering hosts the 138th (total 1127th) "Jixiafeng" Graduate Academic Forum

2021Year12month24Sunday morning9:30,By Graduate School of Shandong University、Sponsored by the Postgraduate Affairs Department of the Party Committee,Hosted by the School of Electrical Engineering138Issue (Total No.1127Issue) "Jixiafeng" graduate student academic forum was held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of the Electric Power Building on Qianfoshan Campus。This forum invited Zhao Bing, director of the Power System Safety and Stability Research Office of the Electric Power System Research Institute of the China Electric Power Research Institute,The title of the lecture is "Large Power Grid Security and Stability Theory、Analysis、Control methods and Chinese practice”。This forum is hosted by Professor Ding Lei。

Zhao Bing’s lecture focused on the security and stability of large power grids,What difficulties did you encounter in the power system、How to analyze these problems、How to use appropriate control methods、Discuss how to deal with future challenges from four perspectives。Zhao Bing starts from the origin of the power system,via "source-NET-The evolution of the Dutch structure reflects that our country has become the largest in the world、The achievement of the most complex AC and DC hybrid power grid,The dynamic behavior of the future system will change from being dominated by the characteristics of traditional electromagnetic conversion equipment such as synchronous generators to being dominated by the characteristics of power electronic equipment,But at the same time,Changes in the source network load structure also bring about a series of operational difficulties,Includes: (1) Disturbance fault has great impact,The carrying capacity of the AC power grid is insufficient;(2) Reduced level of moment of inertia,The difficulty of frequency adjustment of the system will continue to increase;(3) Insufficient dynamic reactive power reserve,The scope of system voltage problems continues to expand;(4) There are many control systems and they are scattered,The incoordination under weak working conditions will be intensified, etc.。In view of the difficulties faced by the power grid operation,Zhao Bing takes a full grid case as an example,Explains how to analyze these difficulties,He talked about,Using circuit theory、Basic power system theory and mathematical methods analyze location issues in the power grid,Discover the cause of the problem、Analysis of root causes,In order to find the crux of the problem,Subsequently,He introduced in detail his commonly used methods and strategies: preliminary identification of the basic characteristics of the power grid based on the grid、Master the mechanisms and differences of different stable forms、Learn to use a simple small system to reproduce simple problems、Mathematical analysis of various security and stability issues。In addition,Zhao Bing also introduced in detail the latest classification basis for power system safety and stability,And illustrates the basic concepts and analysis methods of power system stability,includes transient power angle stability、Voltage stability and frequency stability, etc.。Finally,Zhao Bing talked about,The power system is a conservative man-made system,With open access to new energy in the future,We should pay more attention to the safety and stability of the operation of large power grids。

Ding Lei commented on this lecture,He said,Today with the rapid development of power system,We should look at its research from a developmental perspective,Strengthen the research on basic theories to a certain extent,At the same time,Whether it is a teacher or a classmate,The construction of knowledge system should be strengthened,Because the development of the system has put forward higher requirements on the breadth and depth of our research。

Question session,Zhang Yunpeng and Zhao Bing from the Electrical Engineering Institute jointly discussed the requirements for the prediction of new energy sources such as photovoltaics from the perspective of system safety。
